Our Story
Sharon and I met in grad school and married about a year later. We celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary in 2026. Sharon is the love of my life.
You've met our son, Patrick, and our daughter, Samantha, above, and if you've read my book, you know the key roles they played—along with my wife—in my recovery.
We live in a small town in the mid-south, near Memphis and Mississippi. We talk slow, but we think fast! I've had many blessings with my wife and family and a career in leadership at FedEx, and later as CEO of Innovo Publishing.
Sharon and I both hold advanced degrees, and I earned a doctorate from Vanderbilt. We are both disciples of Jesus and believe He orchestrated all of the miraculous situations I chronicled in my book, Held Between Breath and Death: A TRUE story of Divine Sovereignty.
